Douglas 'Doug' Carl Peters, 53

Douglas "Doug" Carl Peters, 53, died from natural causes Friday, April 6, 2007, at his home in Kalispell. He was born Feb. 21, 1954, in Kalispell, the son of Robert C. and Carlene (Widdowson) Peters. Doug attended grade school and high school in Kalispell and graduated in 1972.

He married Chris Baden in 1987, and from this marriage they had one son, Arin James.

Doug worked in water maintenance for the cities of Missoula, Kalispell and Columbia Falls for about 20 years.

He enjoyed traveling throughout the United States looking for, collecting and restoring antique cars. He also enjoyed golfing, snowmobiling, boating, and riding his Harleys.

We will remember all of his stories about his travels to Alaska, New York, Sturgis, S.D., and abroad.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert; and a sister-in-law, Tina.

He is survived by a son, Arin Peters, of Denton; mother, Carlene, of Kalispell; brother, Gary Peters, and mate, Brenda Strum; sister, Roberta Diegel, and husband, Jerry, of Kalispell; and many aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and cousins.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 13, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, with Pastor Larry Stappler officiating.

There will be no visitation.
