Deputies arrest man in assault

Flathead County sheriff's deputies arrested a man in connection with partner or family member assault after a disturbance on Eastman Drive between two men who are roommates.

Concerned that the dazed and confused coyote standing by a driveway on Old Morris Trail was hurt, a resident called the Sheriff's Office. Fish and Game officials handled the call.

Somebody burgled a home on Helena Flats Road, according to a Tuesday afternoon report.

Deputies went to help with a misbehaving 8-year-old boy at East Evergreen Elementary.

The landlord of a home on U.S. 2 in Coram said renters took furniture that wasn't theirs when they were evicted.

A county Road Department crane tipped over in the ditch on East Lakeshore Drive and Hellroaring at the head of Whitefish Lake. Two more large cranes were brought to the rescue Wednesday morning.

A woman complained about receiving unsolicited pornography through the mail.

An intoxicated man checked into the Best Western White Oak Grand in the wee hours Wednesday and immediately complained to the Sheriff's Office about the phone. When a deputy arrived, he was asleep, so the deputy left. He awoke a couple hours later and reportedly started causing more trouble. Ultimately, eviction was the only answer.
