Holt, Lau flirt with high places at nationals

Five wrestlers from Flathead High School competed in the U.S. National Championships in Las Vegas April 3-7.

Senior Levi Holt, juniors Brian Ham, David Lau and T.C. Decker and freshman Shawn Lau wrestled in both Greco Roman and freestyle.

Former FHS wrestler, Duran Flaget, wrestled in the college division. Flaget wrestles at MSU-Northern.

Holt won three of five matches in Greco Roman to finish in the top eight and won three of five matches in freestyle, where he was one match away from placing in the top six.

Lau posted a 4-2 mark in freestyle and was one match away from placing in the top six.

Flaget finished eighth, which earned him All-American honors.

Suny Cheff coached the wrestlers.
