Harriet Harbin, 84

Harriet Harbin, 84, passed away April 18, 2007, at the Clark Fork Nursing Home in Plains, where she was a resident. Harriet was born in Kalispell on Jan. 30, 1923, to Louis and Adelaide Jensen. She was a third generation Montanan, the granddaughter of Hans and Inga Gilbertson, who settled in the Flathead Valley in the 1800s.

Harriet was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Miles 'Pat' Harbin; and her five children, Nancy Harbin Richwine of Woodinville, Wash., Connie Harbin Voth and Robert of Missoula, Joanne Harbin Erickson and Rich Shaffer of Bozeman, Raymond Harbin and Carol of St. Ignatius, and Roger Harbin and Joan of Redmond, Wash. Harriet also is survived by her brother, Robert Jensen, of Sumner, Wash.; and sister, Jeanine Pederson, of Kalispell. She is mourned by her 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Harriet was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, and she will be missed by her family.

Private services have been held with the immediate family, and a celebration of her life will held this summer.

Arrangements are under the care of Bunch-Toews Funeral Chapel of Plains.
