A 23-year-old Lakeside man is in Flathead County jail on $150,000 bond, charged with attempted deliberate homicide.

Jason Davis is charged with stabbing another 23-year-old Lakeside man on the morning of April 13.

Flathead County Sheriff's Detective Sgt. Glen Fulton said the investigation is continuing into the incident that began the evening of April 12.

A group of people who had been at a Lakeside bar left to go to an apartment in Lakeside, Fulton said. After some time, most of the people left. Davis and the apartment resident were among those still there when an altercation broke out between the two men.

Although alcohol aggravated the situation, the specific cause of the fight was unknown. The victim was stabbed several times, Fulton said, but none of the wounds were life-threatening. He eventually sought hospital treatment.

The sheriff's office got a call Friday afternoon reporting the attack.

After six days of investigation, Detective Kip Tkachyk obtained an arrest warrant Friday morning for Davis. The sheriff's Major Case Unit took Davis into custody at 7:35 a.m. His arraignment is scheduled for April 26.
