Braves 3rd in Dahlberg track meet

BUTTE - If Saturday's Swede Dahlberg Track Meet at Bulldog Memorial Stadium had been the Class AA state meet, the Flathead boys would have been in the trophies.

The Braves scored 68 points to finish third in a close meet. Billings West won the meet with 86 points and Butte was second with 80.

Flathead senior Coltin Weber was the only Brave to claim a first place. He won the javelin with a throw of 169-2.

Dan Ogden placed in three events. He was second in discus, third in javelin and fourth in shot. Seth Grossman, Richie Carter and C.J. Manning placed twice - Grossman was third in 1,600 and fourth in the 800, Manning was sixth in 110 and 300 hurdles and Carter was fourth in triple jump and long jump.
