Flathead County Sheriff

The bartender at Finns Casino in Lakeside watched him swipe a jacket and cell phone. But the would-be thief left his keys at the bar, preventing his escape. The jacket's owner didn't want to press charges, but Flathead County Sheriff's deputies arrested him anyway, for drug possession.

An inmate was taken to the hospital after an altercation at the Flathead County Detention Center. His injuries were minor.

Credit card fraud was reported on Willow Glen Drive. A vehicle was reported stolen on Sunnyside Drive.

Burglaries were reported on Braig Road in Columbia Falls and on Grandale Drive in Kalispell.

A black bear and bull elk were hit by vehicles in separate incidents.
