Regina Marie Weiand, 94

Regina Marie Weiand, 94, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, July 28, 2007, in Mount Juliet, Tenn. She was born Nov. 6, 1912, in Hazen, N.D.

Regina was a devout Catholic who prayed to her Lord daily. She attended Mass every day until age 90 and for many years she provided the flowers for the alter at St. Richard's Catholic Church. She was a kind-hearted woman who welcomed everyone to her home where she provided them with something to eat. Her specialty was cooking German food in the tradition of her German background. She never had a bad thing to say about anyone. She loved everyone she met.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Weiand; her parents, Anton and Caroline Hoerner; and 16 siblings.

Regina is survived by her son, Steve and Lynda Weiand of Mount Juliet; a grandson, Chris Weiand, of Columbia Falls; a sister, Helen Brinkerhoff, of Columbia Falls; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 2, at the Columbia Mortuary in Columbia Falls. A rosary will be said at 7 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at 9 a.m. Friday, Aug. 3, at St. Richard's Catholic Church in Columbia Falls. Rev. John Miller will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Richard's Catholic Cemetery.

Arrangements are with the Sellars Funeral Home in Mount Juliet.
