Burnouts conducted Sunday for Chippy Creek Fire

The South Kalispell Fire Department, Evergreen Fire Department, and Bad Rock Fire Department were called out to the Chippy Creek fire Sunday to protect structures while burnouts were being conducted.

Kalispell Fire Department ambulances responded to Cooper Lane where an eight-month-old child ate Comet with bleach. The child was taken to Kalispell Regional Medical Center.

ALERT responded to a 60-year-old woman, breathing but not responsive, who fell and hit her head on 14th Street in Columbia Falls. She was taken to the hospital. The Columbia Falls Fire Department and Three Rivers EMS also responded.

ALERT also transported a motorcycle rider to the hospital after an accident on the big curve of Montana 35. The rider, bleeding from the ears and nose, wasn't wearing a helmet. The Creston Fire Department, Kalispell Fire Department ambulances and Montana Highway Patrol troopers also responded.

The Evergreen Fire Department responded to a lawn fire on East Reserve Drive.

The Kalispell Fire Department extinguished a fire in a trash can near Glacier High School.
