Julia Francine Perez, 50

Julia Francine Perez, 50, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2007, at her home in Hungry Horse. She was born on Feb. 21, 1957, in Kalispell, to Hobart and Mary (Wise) Hamlin. Julia was raised in Kalispell, moved to Auburn, Wash., for a while, where she graduated from Auburn High School.

She married Gene Winne, and they had three children. He passed away.

Julia married Edward Perez in 1987, in Seattle.

She worked as a meat wrapper, cashier, beverage cart driver, beer babe, bartender, waitress, cook and stage hand. She loved helping the disabled and the elderly.

Julia enjoyed camping, fishing, making fishing lures and working with beads. She loved to listen to rock, blues, and country music. She also enjoyed playing the piano and singing.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Wise; first husband, Gene N. Winne; and a brother, Hobart Hamlin.

She is survived by her husband, Edward Perez, of Hungry Horse; father, Hobart Hamlin of Mineral Lake, Wash.; children, Angela Winne of Tacoma, Wash., Dustin Winne of Hungry Horse, and Kyle Winne of Tacoma; siblings, Roxie Olmstead and Douglas Hamlin, both of Kalispell, Teresa of Milton, Wash., and Mark Aldridge of Corvallis, Ore.; grandchildren, Julia Bradford, Olivia Winne, Noah Winne; and the Wise and the Baier families.

Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 27, at Buffalo Hill Funeral Home.
