COLUMBIA FALLS - Polson's Tyler Engebretson and Joe Andrews tied for medalist honors Tuesday at the Columbia Falls Triangular Golf Meet at Meadow Lake Golf Course to lead the Pirates to team victory.

Polson beat Bigfork by 29 strokes, while two Columbia Falls teams were 46 and 71 strokes back.

Engebretson and Andrews each carded an 11-over 83.

"Meadow Lake is probably the toughest course in the area that high school kids play on, so that's why the scores are a little higher than we're used to," Columbia Falls coach Gene Marcille said.

Polson had the only girls' team to have enough golfers to qualify for a team score. The Pirates' Natalia Arlint medaled at 22-over 94.
