Ruth E. McColley, 97

Ruth E. McColley (nee MacDonald), 97, passed away Aug. 25, 2007, in Littleton, Colo. She was born March 8, 1910, in Cohasset, Minn.

Ruth met David McColley in Gary, Ind., and they were married Aug. 31, 1935. David worked for Inland Steel Co., in East Chicago, Ind. They were married for 66 years.

David and Ruth moved to Lake of the Ozarks in 1955 and operated a resort for nine years before moving to Missoula, where they were part of a corporation that operated Lolo Hot Springs.

They later moved to Kalispell and managed the Elms, a senior apartment complex. An opportunity and challenge gave them the chance to go to Anchorage, Alaska, for three years before returning to Kalispell to again manage the Elms Apartments.

Ruth was a devoted wife and mother. She had an interesting and fulfilling life.

She was preceded in death by her husband, David. 'She is now reunited with him in Heaven.'

Ruth is survived by their three children, Jean and John Heresz of Hobart, Ind., David and Pat McColley of Columbus, Ohio, and Peggy and Jay Flinders of Littleton; also many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 1, at the Glacier Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice.
