An as-yet-undetermined amount of cash was taken Monday morning during a robbery at an Alltel Wireless store in the 100 block of East Idaho Street in Kalispell.

A man walked into the store just after it opened for business at 10 a.m., according to Kalispell police. He demanded money from the clerk, who was alone in the building at the time.

When the clerk questioned the man, he punched her in the face and then took money from the cash register, police said.

The clerk was treated at the scene by personnel from the Kalispell Fire Department.

The suspect is described as a man approximately 18 years old, between 5 feet 8 inches and 5 feet 10 inches tall, without facial hair, and wearing a T-shirt and jeans.

He reportedly left the scene in a white sedan.

Police have no suspects, but the robbery is still under investigation. Further information was not released Monday.
