George S. Yates, 52

George S. Yates, 52, passed away of natural causes Sunday, Dec. 9, 2007, at his home in Kalispell.

George was born July 5, 1955, in Pocatello, Idaho, to James and Shirley (Knudson) Yates. His family moved to the Flathead Valley, where he was raised, graduating from Flathead High School in 1974.

He was an avid outdoorsman, and was really known for his Fourth of July fireworks displays he put on over the years.

He is survived by his mother, Shirley Opp, of Kalispell; numerous siblings; and other relatives.

A memorial service will be held in 2008.
