Only excuse for no customer service

A potential customer went into a fast food restaurant in Evergreen but couldn't see anybody around. The customer called Flathead County Sheriff's deputies, who called the manager, who explained that nobody was there because the restaurant was closed. It appears the door had simply been left unlocked.

People sitting in a small station wagon on U.S. 2 told an inquisitive passerby they were waiting for the sun to come up. The car was gone when deputies arrived to check out the situation.

An eighth grader at a school on Helena Flats Road was cited for possession of tobacco after being found with a tin of chewing tobacco.

Several counterfeit traveler's checks were discovered at a motel on Montana 35 in Evergreen.

Vicious dogs were reported on Addison Court in Evergreen.

A fence near the fishing access on Ashley Lake Road was damaged.

A 23-year-old fugitive from justice was arrested near Angel Point on a Washington state warrant.

A man on U.S. 93 near Whitefish called deputies saying his wife threw him to the ground and bit him four times. The man did not need medical attention. Deputies had the parties involved fill out statements and will send the case to the County Attorney's Office for possible charges.

A 23-year-old man was arrested for stealing hair-care products from a store on U.S. 2 in Evergreen.

A woman told deputies she was stuck at the drive through of an Evergreen fast food restaurant for over an hour, and when she went inside everybody was acting weird and refusing to help her. She was advised to take her business elsewhere.

An 18-year-old man refused to leave an Evergreen Drive home.

Proprietors of a grocery store on U.S. 2 in Evergreen believe they have surveillance footage of a shoplifter.

A concerned party thinks a Nicholson Drive 3-year-old may have been molested. Deputies are investigating.

An East Evergreen Drive 16-year-old girl, on probation at the time, was arrested for family member assault and taken to juvenile detention after giving her grandmother a hard time and threatening to jump out a window.

A 36-year-old man was arrested on Daley Lane for partner assault after hitting his girlfriend during an argument. Both parties, who reportedly had been drinking, were tearing up the house. The man was also charged with resisting arrest.

A Danielson Road resident thought they heard a gunshot and called deputies.
