Flathead County sheriff's deputies went to North Hilltop Road on Sunday night for a disturbance between a husband and wife. The man left in his truck, but later was tracked down by Kalispell police in west Kalispell. Police said he threatened to end it all, so he went to Kalispell Regional Medical Center for a mental-health evaluation. Both were taken into custody, ticketed on suspicion of partner or family member assault.

Coroners were called out twice within three hours Sunday morning. The first came at 8 a.m., when a 52-year-old woman, apparently with medical conditions, was found dead in Martin City. Just before 11 a.m., the coroner was called to Whitefish for a 79-year-old man.

Deputies put a man in jail for what reportedly was his second time being charged on suspicion of partner or family member assault Saturday evening. The disturbance happened at the home he shares with his girlfriend on Montana 206 near Columbia Falls.

Marion and Kalispell ambulance crews, sheriff's deputies, Montana Highway Patrol and Smith Valley fire were called to a one-vehicle rollover on U.S. 2 five miles west of Kalispell near Parson's Tractor. The vehicle was there, but no person was found.

A daughter's boyfriend was reported beating up on her and throwing things around the house on U.S. 2 East at midnight. He was arrested on suspicion of partner or family member assault.

A man who walked into a service station on U.S. 2 East early Sunday, saying he had just been beaten, was taken to Kalispell Regional Medical Center. Ten minutes later, deputies were called to a fight at a business across the street which, they said, likely was connected to the first report. The first man got into an altercation with another at the emergency room, prompting a police call for backup.
