Bob Herron announced his resignation Wednesday from the Kalispell City Council, effective Feb. 17.

Kalispell council member Herron says he's quitting

Herron is moving his home to north of Kalispell, leaving the city and the Second Ward that he represents. Herron, the owner of Bob Herron Insurance, is entering the final year of his first four-year term on the council.

The Kalispell city government is accepting applications to finish his term, which ends Dec. 31. Applicants must live in the Second Ward, which is roughly northeastern Kalispell. For a map that shows Second Ward boundaries, visit www.kalispell.com.
