Michael Jason Peterson, 34, died unexpectedly Sunday, Jan. 28, 2007, in Thomasville, Ga.

Michael was born March 8, 1972, in Jacksonville, Fla. and moved to the Flathead Valley with his parents in 1975. He was raised in the Kalispell area and remained in the area into young adulthood. He was the son of Gale Peterson of Jackson, Ga. and Carole Peterson of Thomasville, Ga.

Survivors, in addition to his parents, include; two daughters, Leisa Peterson of Whitefish and Juliette Peterson of Missoula; one son, Mercy Peterson of Whitefish; brothers, Chris Peterson of Griffin, Ga., Gabriel Peterson of Hampton, Ga., David Peterson of Jackson, Ga., Daniel Peterson of Cumming, Ga., James Peterson of Jacksonville, Fla., and Thomas White of Jackson, Ga.; sisters, Sandra Thomas of Jackson, Ga., Georgia Swearengin of Houston, Texas, and Laura Turner of Tucson, Ariz.; several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services for Mr. Peterson were held Saturday, Feb. 3, at the group shelter in Indian Springs State Park near Jackson, Ga.
