Arlene R. Korte, 70

| February 6, 2007 1:00 AM

"An angel of mercy took Arlene into her arms" on Feb. 1, 2007, at the Kalispell Regional Medical Center. Arlene suffered from severe rheumatoid arthritis and numerous associated illnesses since 1993.

Arlene was born May 26, 1936, to Nick and Elizabeth Hensel in Dickinson, N.D. There she finished high school, and married Dale Korte in 1954. They had two girls, Terry and Nancy.

Arlene enjoyed being on the move, from Montana to Panama City, Panama.

She was involved with many enterprises. Arlene had a keen eye for art and design.

She liked to watch Western movies, and, before her arthritis, going on 10-mile bike rides.

She enjoyed traveling and camping, which she got plenty of, married to Dale and later with Terry Eggen.

Arlene had a twin sister and twin brothers.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dale, in 1987; daughter, Nancy, in 1972; three brothers; and her twin sister, Darlene.

Arlene is survived by her daughter, Terry Wilson, and friend, Larry Engstrom; her special friend, Terry Eggen, of 20 years; brothers, Nick and Robert Hensel; one sister, Mary Lefor; and brother-in-law, Dick, and Martha Korte.

After coming down with rheumatoid arthritis, Arlene often had dreams of when she was a young girl running and playing with the farm animals. "We like to believe she has returned to the same pain-free place."

Cremation and private services have taken place.
