Rebekah Ann 'Becky' Thompson, 51, passed away Feb. 3, 2007, in Kalispell because of cancer.

Becky was born Aug. 21, 1955, in Milwaukee, Wis. She was raised in a military family and traveled throughout her childhood.

Becky was a certified dog groomer. She began dog grooming 25 years ago in Las Vegas. She mastered the art of show cuts and puppy cuts, and had the ability to custom groom to each pet owner's wish.

Becky loved her work and each of her clients; they became family. She always added that special touch that brought her clients back year after year.

For the past five years she resided in Kalispell, where she opened her own business, Becky's Barking Lot.

She also had her own jewelry business, Crystal Hound; her other love. She would find precious stones and design jewelry with wire and silversmithing. Each piece was a creation of her heart.

Becky also worked as a vendor at the fair each year and at Samaritan House.

Becky is survived by her parents, Lucy and Tom Thompson; son, Travis, and his wife, Shawntal, Johnston; brother, Dale Thompson, and his wife, Susie, and family; brother, Mark Thompson, and his wife, Maurine, and family; and sister, Desa Burton, and her husband, Gary, and family. She also leaves behind her beloved dog, Ayla, whose companionship she loved very much.

Becky loved her surroundings of mountains and lakes.

'We will forever have a piece missing in our lives now that she is gone.'

Each of those who knew her will carry her spirit with them always.

Memorials are suggested to be sent in care of Buffalo Hill Funeral Home, for Becky Thompson's medical bills.

Friends and family are welcome to come to a celebration of life for Becky at 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 9, at Bethel Baptist Church, at the corner of Ninth Street and Fourth Avenue West in Kalispell.
