Icy and snowy roads sent cars sliding into one another, and Kalispell police were called out to deal with them across town beginning very early Monday and lasting throughout the afternoon. At about 11:30 p.m. Sunday, they helped someone get out of snow where the vehicle was stuck. Street Department workers were called out to deal with extreme ice conditions just after 1 a.m.

A log-truck driver reportedly blew through several red lights and drove at high speeds through town, nearly forcing at least one driver off the road just before 8 a.m.

The 1 1/2-year-old baby was upset but otherwise fine after being locked in a car, then freed by a tow-truck worker Monday afternoon at King Buffet.

One dog was hit in traffic and another growled at someone in an alley Sunday evening.

A 39-year-old man was arrested for DUI and speeding - basic rule - after police stopped him on U.S. 2 shortly after midnight.

Her ex-boyfriend tapped into her computer and stole personal information, she told police. They're looking into it.

The resident couldn't stem the flow of water pouring into the basement on First Street West, and speculate it might be from a neighbor's house.
