Drunken, uninsured drivers on the loose

Flathead County Sheriff's deputies arrested a man, 35, after his vehicle slid off U.S. 2 near Martin City early Friday morning. He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, having no insurance, and he was held on outstanding contempt of court and theft warrants.

A teenage boy, wearing a black sweatshirt with the words "Psycho," was arrested at a McMannamy Draw residence Thursday night after choking his mother. The boy was taken to Flathead County juvenile detention center.

Deputies responded to domestic disturbance on Smokey Bear Lane near Columbia Falls early Friday, involving a wife who threw guns in the driveway.

A Grand Avenue resident in Bigfork reported that her car had been vandalized, with dents on the hood.
