Sentinel slams Bravettes

MISSOULA - The Bravettes came out cold and never recovered.

The Flathead High School girls basketball team shot just 25.5 percent from the field Saturday, losing a Western AA game at Missoula Sentinel, 56-38.

The Bravettes trailed 30-9 at the break after making two field goals in 19 first-half attempts. They missed 14 straight shots at one point.

Sara Newgard had nine points and nine rebounds to lead the Bravettes, who fell to 7-3 in conference play and 13-5 overall. Emilee Hashley notched six points and eight boards.

Lindsey Wimett drained four treys and scored 20 points to pace Sentinel.

The Bravettes are back in action Thursday when they entertain Helena Capital at 7:30 p.m.
