The culprit stuck

| February 19, 2007 1:00 AM

The culprit stuck to its right to remain silent. But if it did squeal, it would've talked in a high-pitched Alvin-and-the-Chipmunks voice. A Saturday evening alarm sounded at Mark's Auto after being triggered by a balloon moving in front of a motion sensor, Kalispell police said.

Also on Saturday evening, police arrested a 31-year-old man on suspicion of drunken driving and a 20-year-old male passenger for possessing alcohol.

Early on Sunday morning, police arrested another 31-year-old man on suspicion of drunken driving; he was being sought for a warrant to assaulting a partner or family member.

Later, an injured deer had to be shot near Beargrass Lane.

About mid-morning, a law office checkbook and a jury instruction book were reported from a vehicle on Fourth Street West.

A snowboard apparently fell off a vehicle and went missing somewhere between the Flathead County Fairgrounds and Kalispell Junior High School.
