Big Sky Martial Arts' Anderson, Meade 1st in forms, fights

Irie Anderson and Cassidy Meade led Big Sky Martial Arts (BSMA) competitors at the 2007 Edmonton Canadian Taekwondo Championships earlier this month.

The two won gold medals in forms and fights.

Anderson won his fights 7-0 and 7-1 as did Meade by scores of 4-2 and 7-0.

The event attracted more than 350 athletes. All participants competed in forms and had two fights.

Big Sky Martial Arts had 10 athletes competing.

Alan Bowman received silver in forms and won his fights 8-1 and 11-4 to take a gold medal.

Lindsey Meade received silver in forms and won her fights 8-1 and 7-0 to also win gold.

Zach Waldher received a bronze in forms and won his fights 7-0 and 7-0 for a gold medal.

Taylor Reed received bronze in forms and won 2-1 and lost 2-1 for a silver in fights; Jackson Waldher received bronze in forms and won his fights 4-0 and 7-1 to win gold; Thomas Reed received silver in forms and bronze in sparring, losing 5-4; and Bella Waldher received silver in forms and won her first match with a score of 1-0, but lost her second 11-10 to take silver.

Coaching the team was Master John Paul Noyes.
