Alan Dale Meyers, 75

Alan Dale Meyers, 75, passed away Saturday, Feb. 17, 2007, at his home in Kalispell. Alan was born March 15, 1931, in Medical Lake, Wash. He attended schools in Medical Lake, graduating from Medical Lake High School.

He served with the U.S. Navy from 1952 until 1954. Alan worked for the Railroad for more than 45 years in many capacities, including welding.

He married Maxine Meyers in Eureka in 1986.

He loved fishing, hunting, yard sales, bowling, doing puzzles, reading and traveling.

He was a good friend of Bill W. for 27 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and four brothers.

Alan is survived by his wife, Maxine Meyers, of Kalispell; daughter, Teresa 'Teri' Simpson, of Great Falls; stepchildren, Kay Midro and Jerry Greenstein of Kalispell, Marjorie Howell of Columbia Falls, and Duane and Mary Erie of Trego; sister, Dorothy Welling, of Burien, Wash.; grandchildren, Kevin Wolfe, Kristina Simpson and Andrew Simpson, all of Great Falls; stepgrandchildren, Mike and Kevin Howell, Devin and Jesse Midro, Jeromi and Danielle, Erie Jesse and Neil Volkman, Charity Mathews and Heather Dodson and Aaron; stepgreat-grandchildren, Jenna and Kaelin Volkman, and Gavin Remter.

A celebration of Alan's life will be held later on this coming summer.
