Dawn Rae Nelson Grant, 42

Dawn Rae Nelson Grant, 42, "passed over into the arms of her Lord" on Feb. 23, 2007, due to a car accident west of the Sportsman's Bridge on Montana 82 near Bigfork.

She was born May 9, 1964, in Kalispell and raised in Flathead County. She attended Peterson Elementary, Evergreen Elementary and Flathead High School.

Dawn had worked as an in-home cleaner for several homes in the Flathead Valley. She also worked at McCabe's Inn in Bigfork and Western Building in Kalispell. At the time of her death she was working at NAPA in Bigfork.

She loved camping, fishing and, most of all, being with her children. They were the light of her life.

She was also active with her church.

She is survived by her husband, Timothy R. Grant; mother, Neva Youreman, and stepfather, Dan Youreman; father, Dallas Nelson, and stepmother, Marilyn Nelson; children, Tara Fitzgerald, Abby Grant and Victoria Grant; sister, Allie and Kevin Sturgess; two brothers, Bill and John Nelson; aunt and uncle, Gary and Ragna House; and mother- and father-in-law, Sharon M. and Charles F. Grant; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Edward and Eva Olson; paternal grandparents, Raymond R. and Fern C. Nelson; stepgrandparents, Chauncy and Elizabeth Smith; sister, Sarah Fern Nelson; brother, Dallas Raymond Nelson; brother, Kase C. Smith; aunt, Edna Brunett; and cousins, Jeanie House and Edward Brunett.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, March 1, at First Baptist Church in Bigfork, with burial at Glacier Memorial Gardens.
