Lost snowmobilers found safe

The Flathead County Sheriff's Office took a call from a woman whose boyfriend sent her a text message saying he and two friends were lost in the Lost Johnny area.

The trio was snowmobiling Sunday but they were found and safe.

From Farm to Market Road came a complaint about people shooting pheasants in front of a house.

A girl asked for help finding a friend whom she suspected to be in the woods at Lawrence Park.

Six vehicles gathered on Rodgers Lake Road where people shot rifles and annoyed neighbors.

Someone keeps putting a 20-day license sticker on someone else's vehicle in Hungry Horse.

A driver who was reported as possibly drunk was pulled over. He was just lost. A driver who led deputies on a pursuit near Happy Valley wasn't lost; he was arrested for DUI.

There were several reports of overdoses of drugs and alcohol.

There is an investigation into some possibly deliberately false reports.

An inflatable snowman died at the hands of vandals on Solberg Drive.

There is a suspect in the theft of a safe from a business in Lakeside. Money was stolen in Somers. Officers are checking to see if the two crimes are related.

A house and motor home were spray-painted on Harmony Road and a chain saw was stolen nearby. A spray-painted truck and stop sign also were found.

There were numerous reports of people who rang in the new year by fighting with loved ones.

A resident on Shady Lane wanted to report $17,000 stolen from him in August.

A cash register was found in Hungry Horse.
