FVCC offers financial aid

| January 3, 2007 1:00 AM

Flathead Valley Community College invites prospective students to visit its financial aid office this week prior to spring-semester registration that opens next week.

College officials say many scholarships remain available as well as federal financial aid. Applicants should bring their 2005 federal tax returns and W-2 forms so staffers may help them complete financial aid forms.

Registration for spring classes runs from Jan. 8 to 19.

Flathead County residents should have received a schedule of classes in the mail. The spring schedule also is available on the college Web site at www.fvcc.edu and on the Kalispell campus that reopens today after the holiday break.

To register, students need an admissions file that includes a completed application, $15 application payment, high school transcripts, any college transcripts and proof of two MMR (measles, mumps, and rubella) immunizations.

Students must also take the ASSET placement test prior to registering. Classes fill on a first-come, first-served basis.
