Seven hurt in rollover crash

| January 5, 2007 1:00 AM

Other accidents occurred, but none with injuries.

The Flathead County Sheriff's Office dispatched emergency services Wednesday night to U.S. 2 at Kila Hill when ice turned the road treacherous and seven people were hurt in an accident. Montana Highway Patrol trooper Bob Hensley said one vehicle was traveling slowly because of the ice, when the driver of a Ford Expedition passed it and lost control, striking the other car and then rolling. The Ford was transporting people from the Wilderness Treatment Center, Hensley said, and seven were hurt with non-life-threatening injuries. They went to the hospital in ambulances from Marion and Kalispell departments. The driver of the Expedition was ticketed for careless driving. Hensley said the highway was shut down for an hour or so because of icy conditions and the wreckage. Another report of a car that went over the side of the hill appeared to be unfounded.

There were reports of horses in deep mud in a field on U.S. 2 east of Kalispell and horses on the road on Trumble Creek Road.

Deputies who went to a disturbance in Bigfork area reminded a man there that he has a warrant he needs to take care of.

A couple on Rockwell Road aired an argument about his affair and her pregnancy so loudly that someone called police. Officers went to a home on Harmony Road where there was a refrain of, "Let me go!" but the trouble was only verbal. On Wednesday night, a man reportedly locked a woman and children out of the house in a disagreement about what was on television.

Other reports were about a landlord/tenant dispute on Springcreek Drive, a partner assault in Hungry Horse, embezzlement, and dog neglect.
