Earlene M. Nevins "joined the Lord" on Thursday, Jan. 4, 2007.

Earlene will be laid to rest at 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 8, 2007. Services will be held at the United Methodist Church in Columbia Falls. Pastor David Merkel will officiate.

Earlene was born to Earl and Ruth Montgomery on July 2, 1929, and was joined by two sisters, Jeanne (Marvin) Atkins and Ann (Gerald) Pettit.

Earlene spent her childhood and received her education in Shelby, Mont. Earlene married James M. Nevins in September 1948 and raised together three sons, Gary (Joann), Mike (Kathy), and Raymond (Marilyn), living in Shelby, Browning, and Columbia Falls.

Earline has seven grandchildren, Sheri, Raeanne, Karrie, Jim, Earl, Cody, Raymond Jr., and 11 great-grandchildren.

Earlene was very artistic, creating her crafts and growing gardens of flowers. Earlene loved her family, her church and her many friends.

One son, Mike, and Earlene's parents preceded her in death.
