Dennis Keith Williams 'has left us to begin his greatest adventure in Heaven with our Lord.' He died Jan. 5, 2007, in Kalispell. He was born Feb. 11, 1963, in Whitefish.

Dennis 'Denny' was raised in Trego until his midteens. He was active in 4-H and wrestling. The family then moved to Kalispell. He spent a summer with his brother Larry working in the wheat fields of the Midwest; they also worked together as juggies with their Uncle Robert in the Alaskan oil fields. He then worked trailblazing in Northwest Montana, on a crabbing boat around St. John's Island, Alaska, owned his own construction company, drove a truck, worked as a foreman for the Mutual Self Help Housing, and most recently was employed doing construction for Olbert Construction.

He was active in the Flathead County sheriff's Dive Team and in the past had been on the sheriff's posse and a leader of the Royal Ranger youth club at the Christian Center.

His hobbies and interests were vast, and he put his whole heart into everything he did.

This fall, he finished building a beautiful cabin in Trego. The cabin was built almost entirely from recycled wood and materials, and he had a story for every scrap that went into it. He rebuilt his Harley and loved riding. He loved scuba diving and had the chance to dive the Great Barrier Reef in Australia. His cooking was, shall we say, interesting, and almost always delicious. He enjoyed the woods more than most and loved fishing, camping, panning for gold, and wrestling bears.

Dennis was larger than life, and his dimpled smile, infectious laughter and wonderful stories will remain in our hearts 'until the day we join him in his cabin in the woods of heaven.'

Dennis is survived by his children, Calvin and Samantha Williams; his fiancee, Deanna, and her daughter, Spring; his parents, Ronald Keith and Alta M. Williams; and his siblings, Tony and wife, Sherri, Larry and wife, Cindy, Rhonda, and, as he affectionately called his youngest sisters, 'the Trolls,' Krystina, Shauna, Sonia, Cecilia, Anna and Sara Williams; his ex-wife, Linda Brash; Deanna's adult children, Erica, Elicia, and DJ, by Jeremiah Zimmerly; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends he considered family.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ronald and June Williams, and Lawrence and Wanda Borup.

We would ask that instead of flowers or money to the family that donations be made to the Flathead Co. sheriff's Dive Team so they can purchase needed safety equipment. Send to: Sheriff's Office, Attn: Dive Team, 800 S. Main, Kalispell, MT 59901.

Family and friends are invited to a celebration of Dennis's life and potluck luncheon from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 20, at the Elks Lodge, 1820 Highway 93 S., in Kalispell.
