Lakeside incident investigated

The 20-year-old man was at Kalispell Regional Medical Center with a head injury, but had no memory of being assaulted. One witness said the victim was punched in the face. Other witnesses said he was punched in the chest and head. Deputies are investigating.

Apparently, it was only verbal when a woman was reported to be beating up a man at the front door of an area convenience store at Batavia Lane and U.S. 93.

A woman claimed a man stole her medications after they were in a Christmas Day altercation, then those medications were confiscated when he went to jail. She wanted refills.

The guy in a brownish sweatshirt didn't get away with the beer he tried to steal from Super 1 Foods. He left behind his glasses, too.

It could be a rocky relationship: A woman sought another place to live, her allegedly abusive boyfriend came knocking and chased the new host into hiding. A warrant had been issued for the boyfriend's arrest.

It's a scam, the man figured. So he refused to allow a caller, claiming to be from the IRS, to deliver a package. The caller hung up.

Broken glass went everywhere when a pickup hauling glass slid in the parking lot of a Bigfork business on Montana 35.

Setting: Empty gas tank, keys left in vehicle. End result: Stolen car.
