Kalispell police

Kalispell police checked on an intoxicated man outside a downtown pub, but then a taxi picked up him and another man. An hour later, someone reported two men - police said it may have been the same two - lying in the alley behind the garage. Officers called for medical help for an assault on one, and dropped off the other.

A young man in a black sweater and black hat drew suspicion when he appeared to be casing vehicles and trying door handles on Eighth Street, then left as a passenger in a car.

Sweethearts aren't always sweet. One boyfriend refused to leave, then punched the woman in her hip and arm before finally leaving the house. A different boyfriend threw his girlfriend's belongings on the lawn; police separated them.

The two girls fought after school Monday in the sophomore parking lot at Flathead High, but left before police arrived.

One man walked away after someone was concerned that he was lying in a snowbank on the sidewalk. And a woman who apparently was passed out next to a convenience story walked home; her keys went to the police station for safekeeping.

A wallet showed up in a Farm to Market pasture. There's a name in it, but no contact information. If it's yours, call police.

A 44-year-old woman was charged with DUI in a traffic stop on U.S. 2 West.
