Frenchtown downs Libby in girls basketball

FRENCHTOWN - Jackie Mee tossed in a season-high 19 points for Libby Saturday night but it still wasn't enough as Frenchtown coasted to a 43-28 non-conference girls basketball victory.

Frenchtown led 16-6 at intermission and outscored the Loggers 27-22 in the final half.

"Frenchtown is vastly improved from when we played them the first game of the season," said Libby coach Jim May.

Libby won that contest at the Tip-Off Tournament by 16 points.

Mee tallied 15 points in the final half.

Libby struggled from the field, shooting just 17 percent.
