Flathead County Sheriff's deputies evacuates entire motel
Flathead County Sheriff's deputies evacuated an entire motel on U.S. 2 between Evergreen and Kalispell, investigating complaints of foul smells and light-headedness. The likely culprit was carbon monoxide from a gas fireplace. Evergreen fire department was also on the scene.
A snowmobiler headed up Truman Creek and found two rigs stuck, covered with a foot of snow. The Chevy Blazer owner, deputies learned, got stuck last month but got a ride out. His buddy in a Dodge pickup went to help and got stuck, too. Both will be back when the snow melts, they said.
One guy pulled out a plastic BB gun and shot his buddy in the eye. Some friend. The victim is pressing charges.
He came home to find his guitar and drums were broken, but nothing missing from the house. He has some suspicions, and shared them with deputies.
