Shots fired lead to alleged suicide attempt

Several Flathead County sheriff's deputies responded to a report of shots being fired at a residence on North Hilltop Drive near Columbia Falls Tuesday night. When they arrived, they saw a man and a woman wrestling over a rifle through the house's window. The two were told to drop the weapon, which they did. According to a subsequent report, the woman had threatened suicide and the man was attempting to wrestle the gun away from her. She was taken to Kalispell Regional Medical Center for a mental health evaluation.

There was a report of a wreckless person driving a loud snowmobile up and down McDermott Lane late Tuesday night.

A Rhodes Draw resident reported finding a bullet hole in the door of his storage building Wednesday morning.

A window was reportedly shot out of a vehicle parked at Valley Motors on U.S. 2 East.

A Mountain Drive resident in Hungry Horse reported that a man was "squatting" on his property, refusing to leave after being told to several times. The man left after talking with deputies.
