Eloise Kauffman Young, 76

Eloise Marie Young died of leukemia Saturday, Jan. 27, 2007, at home in Salem, Ore., with her family by her side.

She enjoyed baking, gardening and crocheting, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family. She was caring, devoted and loyal, and will be greatly missed.

Eloise was born on March 19, 1930, in Kalispell and attended school in Kalispell. She married Charles R. Young, and they resided for several years in Kalispell. They have three children and have been married for 60 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Les and Dessie Kauffman; and sisters, Flossie and Zella Nordtome.

Survivors include her husband, Charles, of Salem; daughter, Patricia Welch, and her husband, Gerald, of Alaska; sons, Charles Jr., and his wife, Debbie, of Salem, and Robert and his wife, Patty, of Salem; grandchildren, Jamee Loucka of Salem and Jeromy Young of Salem, three great-grandchildren; and niece Joan Dykstra and nephew Jim Nordtome, both of Kalispell.

No services will be held. Contributions may be made to Hospice.
