Make that a three-dog morning

| January 31, 2007 1:00 AM

It was a rude awakening for a man who reported being attacked by three dogs when he went outside to get his newspaper early Tuesday on South Woodland Drive. Kalispell police officers warned the owners of the dogs.

A traffic stop early Tuesday on the 200 block of Fifth Avenue East led to the arrest of a man, 21, for driving under the influence, second offense, and driving with a suspended license.

Officers responded early Tuesday to a fight at the Cattlemen's bar, arresting a man, 24, on suspicion of assault and disorderly conduct, and another man, 26, on suspicion of obstructing officers and disorderly conduct.

An officer responding to an accident found a truck that had hit a tree on First Avenue West and 12th Street, with the engine revving in an attempt to get unstuck. The driver, a 26-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of DUI.

Late on Monday, employees at Albertson's reported that a conspicuous thief had returned to the store without bothering with a disguise. Sporting a mohawk and a black trench coat, the man was reported last week for stealing an 18-pack of beer and getting away in a Geo Metro. The man had left the store by the time officers arrived.

A resident on the 400 block of Sixth Avenue East reported that a neighbor "keeps running into his fence post." Officers talked with both parties.

A man, 21, was arrested late Monday at the Gold Nugget casino on suspicion of possessing drug paraphernalia.
