Janice Lee Scholes, 54

Janice Lee Scholes, 54, died at her residence in Kalispell on Monday, July 9, 2007. She was born in Beloit, Wis., on April 23, 1953, the daughter of Franklin and Dolores (Osterberg) Wu.

Janice enjoyed knitting, playing cards and games and enjoyed her cats, Roger and Shasha.

She worked at several different jobs including at Beloit Telephone Company in Beloit as an operator, at the Travel Lodge in Missoula as a night auditor, the Outlaw Inn in 1978 as the front desk manager in Kalispell, a bookkeeper for several local valley businesses, and for the last five years she worked for LaSalle Lighting in Kalispell.

Janice was united in marriage to Stanley Scholes on Feb. 10, 1985, in Lone Pine State Park in Kalispell.

Janice was preceded in death by her father, Franklin Wu; both sets of grandparents, Hjalmer and Gladie Osterberg and Henry and Eva Wu; and aunts, Loraine Garrison, Ellie Klenke, Mary Drew, Evelyne Wiley and Julia Boyce.

She is survived by her husband, Stanley Scholes of Kalispell; mother, Dolores Cole of Beloit; brothers, Nathan and James Wu, both of Janesville, Wis.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial services for Janice Lee Scholes will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 13, at Johnson's Mortuary Chapel. Memorial services will also be held at a later date in Wisconsin. There will be no visitation.
