Theodore 'Ted' A. Laugen, 71

Theodore "Ted" A. Laugen, 71, "went home to be with Jesus" on Wednesday, July 25, 2007, at his family home in Hungry Horse with loving family at his side. Ted was born in Havre on July 24, 1936, to Arvid and Myrtle Laugen. He was raised in Havre and graduated from Havre High School.

He married Ruth Bradbury on Sep. 8, 1956. They lived in Havre, Santa Maria, Calif., Federal Way, Wash., and Hungry Horse.

Ted worked on the Great Northern Railroad, farmed on the Bradbury farm north of Havre before going to college in southern California and starting employment with Boeing. Ted retired from Boeing in 1995.

He was a licensed minister with the Assembly of God Church.

Ted was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Julian Laugen; and a sister, Clara Robertson.

Ted loved his family, friends and most of all Jesus. He showed that through the way he lived his life. Ted will be missed by all that knew him and we will see you soon.

Ted is survived by his wife, Ruth (Bradbury) Laugen of Hungry Horse; his daughters, Crystal and Jesse Macias of Burley, Idaho and Melody and Les Szostek of Columbia Falls; and his son, Tad and Kimberly Laugen of Burley, Idaho; his brother, Robert Laugen of Peoria, Ariz.; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, July 28, at the Columbia Falls Assembly of God Church. Pastor Darrell Newby will officiate. Burial will be afterwards in Woodlawn Cemetery.

A memorial has been set up in Ted's name at the Glacier Bible Camp, Hungry Horse, for youth scholarships.

Arrangements are with the Columbia Mortuary in Columbia Falls.
