Teresa 'Terri' Lynn Seek Welty, 44

| July 30, 2007 1:00 AM

Teresa "Terri" Lynn Seek Welty "left this life on July 21, 2007, to be with her Lord."

Terri was born in Denver on March 27, 1963, to Floyd and Sonya Seek. Terri was one of three children.

The family moved to Kalispell, where Terri attended West Valley School and later graduated from Flathead High School in 1982. In July 1984, she married Kevin Welty. To this marriage, three sons were born. Terri was very proud of her boys, and they were a joy to her life.

Over the years, Terri served in several areas of volunteer work, which included Community Kitchen cook and coordinator, Sunday school teacher and helping with the MOMS group. Terri always took pride in her work and had a variety of skills where she was employed in different occupations. In her earlier years, she did long-haul truck driving, about which she enjoyed reminiscing. She was also fond of the years that she had the opportunity to interact with children as she drove a school bus. Terri served in the Montana National Guard from 1998 to 2003.

Terri loved camping, fishing and hunting - especially when her boys were with her.

Terri married Doug McCallum in May 2006. Terri had many close friends and particularly received support and encouragement from Perry Pluid and Tori Allison.

Survivors include her teenage sons, Jonathan, Brian and Jeremy, all of Kalispell; her longtime friend Kevin Welty of Kalispell; her parents; her brother, Robert Seek; her sister, Geri Seek, of Aurora, Colo.; and husband, Doug McCallum, of Kalispell.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 1, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 400 W. California St., in Kalispell.
