Alvin 'Bud' Senner, 86
Alvin "Bud" Senner, 86, died on Saturday July 28, 2007, at his home in Kalispell. Bud was born on May 8, 1921, in Malta, to Henry and Anna Ruff Senner. He moved to the Flathead Valley at the age of 13. He lived in the valley all during the Depression years, attending local elementary schools.
He moved to Seattle during World War II where he worked at Boeing. He returned to the Kalispell area and worked on construction of the Hungry Horse Dam Road, and the dam itself.
Bud help build the Aluminum Plant, then worked there from 1955 to 1982, when he retired.
Bud married Winnifred Leach in 1947. Two daughters were born of this marriage. Winnifred "Babe" died in 1977.
He married Dorothy Frank and lived in Kalispell until his death.
Bud is survived by his wife, Dorothy, and two daughters, Lana Willis and her husband Mike, and Linda Boe and her husband Arnie, all of Kalispell; two grandchildren, Robyn Frank and Jeff Frank of Kalispell; two great-grandchildren, Keenan and Danielle; four stepchildren, Tom Frank, Rita McManus, Fred Frank and Dan Frank, and their families.
He is also survived by his brother, Spike Senner, at Heritage Place; three sisters, Laura De Tillion of Citrus Heights, Calif., Vi Gardner of Rocklin, Calif., and Leona Nutter of Columbia Falls.
He was preceded in death by parents; and his first wife Winnifred "Babe."
Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 1, at Buffalo Hill Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday Aug. 2, at Buffalo Hill Funeral Home with the Rev. Tim Bartholomew officiating. Burial will be at Glacier Memorial Gardens. A reception will follow the interment, at the Moose Lodge in Kalispell.
