Chauncy James Shields, 25

Chauncy James Shields, 25, left his family and friends on June 6, 2007, in a car accident in Snohomish County, Wash.

Chauncy was born Oct. 2, 1981, in Kalispell to Pam Van Orden and Frank Shields.

His parents, Frank Shields and Pam Van Orden, survive Chauncy along with his siblings, Natoma Van Orden, Andrew Shields, Liz Shields and Stephanie Shields; his two daughters, Analise Aspen Moore-Shields (4 years), and her mother, Karmen Moore-Knievel; and Faith Shields, who will arrive in the world in October 2007, with mother, Noel Wedekind. His nieces and nephews also survive Chauncy, Natoma Jr., Van Orden, Maya Van Orden, Fedilino Van Orden, and Lakin Shields.

Chauncy was a lover of camping, fishing, hiking, music, concerts, travel and food. He was able to travel to Oregon, Louisiana, Alaska, Washington, Idaho, California, and all the stops to Louisiana.

Chauncy had many different occupations throughout his life.

You could always find Chauncy outside swimming, hiking, camping and shooting guns. He loved the outdoors.

His love for his family was strong and proud. Chauncy loved being a father and his daughter was the world to him. Chauncy touched everyone he ever met and could always make you smile.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday June 15, at Buffalo Hill Funeral Home in Kalispell, for all of Chauncy's family and friends. A memorial and potluck will follow at the Elks Club in Kalispell. Chauncy's family will join the memorial after the burial.
