MISSOULA - Shane McCaffree of Columbia Falls is holding down the top spot in the second go round of calf roping after two performances at the Montana State High School Rodeo Finals.

McCaffree turned in the top time of 11.08 seconds on Friday at the Missoula County Fairgrounds. He currently is the average leader with two performances remaining with a total time of 28.64.
Rachel Tomson of Columbia Falls is second in pole bending, 20.97.
The other top showing by a Flathead Valley High School Rodeo Team performer Friday was turned in by Gerald Eash of Trego. He tied for third in bull riding with a score fo 68.
Rodeo action continues today with the third performance at 9 a.m. and the fourth performance set for 5 p.m. The championship round is Sunday at 10 a.m.
