Kalispell police responded to a woman who found a dead gopher, two dead squirrels, and a dead chipmunk in her barbecue grill. She thinks it's the person she spoke to about littering in her yard.

Officers responded to couples yelling at each other on Meridian Road and Fourth Avenue East.

Police arrested a 21-year-old woman on a warrant for writing bad checks after she showed up in the same store once too often.

They also arrested a 23-year-old man for driving under the influence of alcohol after he hit a utility pole on Fourth Street West.

However, they didn't arrest another man, even though they had a warrant and knew where he was, because there was simply no room in the jail. Capital improvement project, anyone?

A woman reported someone broke into her house through the kitchen and stole several thousand dollars.

Police rousted a transient woman sleeping on a patch of grass from a grocery store near Idaho Street and Meridian Road.

Police removed a pallet of bricks and cement from the intersection of U.S. 93 and 10th Street. The pallet's owner was cited.

They were unable to find an injured deer in Woodland Park.

A person called police on some mischievous looking kids filling up water balloons.
