Alleged victim runs into attacker

Flathead County Sheriff's deputies got a call from an alleged assault victim, saying he happened upon the man who attacked him. Deputies were unable to find him before he got away. The victim was allegedly assaulted by the man, a friend of a friend, at a party he was hosting earlier this week on Spring Creek Drive.

A Hungry Horse youth lost his cell phone about 6 months ago, but his father received a $600 bill from the wireless company Wednesday.

A woman told deputies she was getting harassing phone calls from the man she's trying to divorce. So they called him up and told him to stop.

A 46-year-old teacher was thought to be missing. The call was canceled when she showed up at home.

Deputies got a call from a concerned animal lover about a dog in a kennel without any shade on West Reserve Drive. County animal wardens contacted the owner, who got the dog some shade.

A bear was sighted on Spotted Bear Road in Martin City, and a bear cub was hit and killed by a car on U.S. 93 west of Point of Rocks.

A passerby saw a man beating on a woman near Cottonwood Drive. Turns out they were just horsing around.

A boat caught fire on Flathead Lake near Lakeside. It was towed to shore and nobody was hurt.
