C. Falls boy in critical condition

The 13-year-old Columbia Falls boy struck by a truck on U.S. 2 West remained a patient in St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula Friday afternoon.

Columbia Falls police said Alexander Becker was in critical condition Friday.

Becker was walking to school Thursday morning when he crossed the highway near Rustic Rails retail store. Police said a pickup truck swerved in an attempt to avoid hitting him, but was unable to miss the boy.
