John 'David' Kemple, 48

John "David" Kemple, 48, passed away on Thursday, March 1, 2007, at the Brendan House in Kalispell. He was born on Nov. 7, 1958, in Salt Lake City, to John Raymond and Nedra (Eagar) Kemple.

Dave received his early education in various schools as his family moved from Salt Lake City to Gresham, Ore., to Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. Dave graduated from Lakeland High School in Rathdrum, Idaho, in 1977. He immediately entered military service, becoming an air traffic controller in the Navy.

While on active duty, Dave met and married Jess, who was also on active duty with the Navy. They were married on April 1, 1983, in San Diego. After separating from the military, Dave spent 13 years as a professional master certified automotive technician. After a back injury, he retrained; receiving his associate's degree in electronics technology at the University of Montana in 2003.

Since that time he had been employed with Sunburst Sensors where he manufactured, maintained and sold oceanographic chemical sensors.

Dave is survived by his wife, Jess, of Kila; parents, Ray and Nedra Kemple; three sisters, Katherine Mabrey and husband, Rick, of Tooele, Utah, Bonnie Jones and husband, Brian, of Pocatello, Idaho, and Lisa England and husband, Don, of South Jordan, Utah; and a brother, Kenneth Kemple, and wife, Teresa, of Elizabeth, Colo.

Funeral services for Dave will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 5, in the Johnson Mortuary Chapel with Chaplain Eddy Nye officiating. Cremation will follow the services.
