24-year-old man doesn't get far before Whitefish police catch up to him.

| March 7, 2007 1:00 AM

A 24-year-old man didn't get far before Whitefish police caught up to him after he hit a tree on Houston Point Drive. Seems he had been partying on Houston Point Drive, then took someone's car at about 3 a.m., and left. His booking report lists felony car theft, DUI, leaving the scene of an accident, and an outstanding Montana Highway Patrol warrant.

When making an arrest of a 14-year-old girl for being a runaway Tuesday afternoon, police arrested another 14-year-old girl on a juvenile probation warrant at the same house.
